Victoria Vespers

Victoria Vespers

This reconstruction, by Renaissance scholar, Jon Dixon, lasts just over an hour. It assembles some of the great Spanish Renaissance composer’s finest double and triple choir music and is interspersed with Gregorian Chant. It makes for a perfect short concert in its own right or could form one extended help of a concert. It is particulary atmospheric with candlelight. The Exon Singers have made the first recording of the work with Delphian Records.

The double and triple choir music includes Dixit Dominus, Laudate Dominum, Ave Maria, Laetatus sum, Ave Maris stella, Magnificat à 8, Nisi Dominus and Regina coeli. The full programme is available on request.
